Carrots Anyone?

Thursday, March 29, 2012

I wanted to get started on a few Easter projects this week. Here's my first one. It's the old sour cream container that's been around forever, with an Easter twist.  For those of you who have never tried these or need a refresher, there is a wonderful video tutorial on Splitcoast. These come together very quickly. I spent more time messing with the ribbon "carrot tops" than I did putting the containers together.

Of course they're filled with goodies. I hope you'll give them a try.

 Supplies
Stamps: Hero Arts
Paper: Jillibean Soup (Orange Sugar-Double sided)
Ink: Memento Tangelo

It's all About the Sentiment!

Wednesday, March 14, 2012

Hi, Thanks for stopping by.  Today's card is for the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge (CFC43), for a clean and simple creation with a sentiment as the focal point.  The Stamps of Life (phrases2say) I used for this card, has become one of my favorites. These sentiments are big and bold.  Just perfect to use as a focal point!  You'll be seeing more of this fun set.

The sketch I used is from Freshly Made Sketches.  It's a relatively new sketch challenge blog, with new sketches posted every Wednesday.

Supplies:
Stamps: The Stamps of Life
Ink: Papertrey Ink - Hawaiian Shores
Paper: Papertrey Ink - Hawaiian Shores & Vintage Cream, Designer Paper - Unknown
Accessories: Button, Ribbon, Handmade Flower

Oh Baby - 3 Challenges!

Wednesday, March 7, 2012

Would you believe it's only 13 days until Spring?  I'm sure you wonder why I know this, right?  Well, my oldest daughter's birthday is March 20 (the first day of Spring), and every morning for the last  week she has given me a running countdown.  I can't help but smile and say, Really?

Alright, let me tell you about today's card.  I combined three challenges for this baby (no pun intended).

CAS-ual Fridays - Hey Baby (CFC #42)

If you haven't participated in these challenges, I hope you'll give them a try.  The hoarded supplies used for this card, Gina K. Designs Pure Luxury Cardstock and Martha Stewart Doilies.

A One-Layer Card & Less is More

Sunday, March 4, 2012

Hi, This week's One-Layer Wednesday challenge (OWL81) is to use cream cardstock, black ink, and some bling.  You can find this week's challenge on Jennifer Styles blog.  Once I choose my main image and had a design in mind, this card only took 5 minutes to put together.  Really?  Me, a five minute card?  Impossible!

The embossed frame around the card was made using my Scor-Pal.

This card is also for the Less is More challenge,  a clean and simple using neutrals.

Supplies:
Stamps: Great Impressions (Image) & A Muse (Sentiment)
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  Gina K.
Accessories: Stamp Positioner, Bling, Scor-Pal

Happy Stamping!
